Tough Times Right Before My Eyes

Even though I have Christ in my life does not guarantee that I will not endure tough times.  The tough times in our lives determine if we have a true belief in Christ and if we believe that He will see us through.

We must remember that the tough times are of this world, and are not of God!  A lot of times we create these problems for ourselves by not following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I often forget that I should take the problems that arise in my worldly life and lay them at the foot of the cross.  This act would show that I have true faith that Jesus will see me through them.

If I try to handle them myself they often get worse and cause me great fear and unnecessary stress.  It affects my family, and most of all it affects my walk with Jesus.

What does the bible say about trials?

Psalm 68:19

 19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,  who daily bears our burdens.

Psalm 54:1-7

   1 Save me, O God, by your name;
vindicate me by your might.
2 Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.
 3 Arrogant foes are attacking me;
ruthless people seek my life—people without regard for God.
 4 Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
 5 Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.
 6 I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, LORD, for it is good.
7 You have delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Praise to the God of All Comfort
 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Romans 5:1-11

Peace and Hope
 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

America is heading in the wrong directions.  This is because we have removed God from are everyday lives.  If we all could right the wrongs, we will not repeat what the past has shown us.
