Why We Remember



God calls us to remember times that are of great significance in our lives.  Throughout scripture God reminds of "What Was," "What Is," and "What Is To Be."  It is based on those belief that can find comfort in our time of "Rememberance."  



"Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou are't with me." -Psalm 23


"Out of the depths of sorrow and sacrifice will be born again the glory of mankind." - Prime Minister Winston Churchill

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth.  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.  Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." -Matthew 5:3

Finally we can surely find comfort in the follow scripture:


"And surely I am with you always even unto the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20
