God's Forgiveness

Did you know that God does not forgive the way we forgive others! You see, when we forgive, we don't forget what hurt us or offended us. Now, when God forgives, he no longer remembers what we did. It's as if it never happen.

This can be found in God's Word.

Isaiah 43:25 (New King James Version)25 "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins."

God does not keep a list of our sins, as long as we ask for forgiveness.

1 John 1:9 (New King James Version)
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

First step for walking in freedom that God has for our lives, is to confess our sins, not just with our minds, but deep in our hearts. Once you have truly done this, then you are forgiven, and the slate is wiped clean. God is always looking at us because He sees the potential, and God sees us as we are going to be with the eternal bodies he going to give us. Remember he sees us through the blood of Christ.

Second step in forgiveness is to forgive ourselves!

Romans 8:1-2 (New King James Version)

Romans 8 Free from Indwelling Sin
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,[a] who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Repenting and accepting God's forgiveness, we are then set free from the guilt. You still will feel guilty at times for things that you have done, but remember you have already been forgiven. Guilt is never from God. Satin will always remind you of your past sins. When this happens just rebuke those thoughts in God's name. Always remember there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Remember
Psalm 103:11-12 (New King James Version)
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

When God removes our transgressions, our sins from us, they no long exist in his eyes.

The last step to forgiveness is for us to forgive others. We tend to carry a lot of junk in our hearts of past hurts.

Luke 6:37 (New King James Version)Do Not Judge

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Always remember that if you have asked God for forgiveness and we have hard hearts towards others, then we are being disobedient to God. As Christians we must release (forgive) those who have hurt us or offended us. If we don't forgive others, it prevents God from forgiving us of our sins.

Believe me this is easier said than done. We must stay in prayer daily or in an hourly basis. When we do the bondage that ties us will be released.

Prayer for forgiveness

Father God, I come to you on bended knees asking for forgiveness of my sins, and I accept your forgiveness into my heart and mind. I choose to forgive myself Father God, and ask that I am given a pure heart to forgive others who have hurt me. I praise your holy name and now I have the freedom that you have given to me through Jesus Christ. Amen

thanks for this post mr. kevin.

As far as the East is From the West so far has He removed our transgressions from us. What a beautiful verse. Here is a question just exactly how far is the the East from the West ? The answer: From one nailed scarred hand to the other. That is how far the East is from the West. Be Blessed all...
