Eternal Love

Something we all have thought about is the words "eternal love" and what it means, and the impact it has on lives.

Does the love you have for someone stop when the body dies?  I think the answer is clear "no."  Just like God's love for us, it is for all eternity that means endless.

Websters definition of eternity - lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.

When you look at the book of Ecclesiastes God's definition stands out; Yet God has made everthing beautiful for its own time.  He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.  (Eccl. 3:11)

God has "planted eternity in the human heart."  This means that we can never be completely satisfied with earthly pleasures and pursuits.  Because we are created in God's image, (1) we have a spiritual thirst, (2) we have eternal value, and (3) nothing but the eternal God can truly satisfy us.  God has built in us a restless yearning for the kind of perfect world that can only be found in his perfect rule.  He has given us a glimpse of perfection of his creation.  But it is only a glimpse; we cannot see into the future or comprehend everything.  Se we must trust God now and do his work on earth.

Psalms 139:13.  You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb.

God new you before you were born - even while you were in your mother's womb.  He knew all about your family and your live.  We all are sensitive to the fact that some people have had difficult

circumstances in their lives.  God doesn't tell us we will not have trails, failures, and disappointments.  He tells us we will, those are the test, how we handle them determines the character that we build.

This life is only a temporary home.

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  (2 Corinthians 4:18)
This is a powerful video.
