Journey Of Faith - Series

How can "Faith" be defined and made easy to understand and accomplished?

Faith is simply "belief in the object of our trust."

Important fact that is little known.  Faith is so important that it is mentioned over three hundred times in  God's Word.  The power of our faith rests in the "object" of our faith.  Just like the foundation of love is a belief in the object that is loved.

In (Genesis 12:1,2) Abram (Abraham), told by God to leave your country, your people, and your father's household and go to a land that I will show you.  I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

God asked Abram to leave every thing that was near and dear to him!

When we look at the man "Abram" in Hebrew it means "great father."  Well this presented a serious problem for Abram, because he had no children.  God's promise (covenant) with Abram would dramatically change his life, and therefore change all humanity.

God is the ultimate change agent.  In this world He creates changes constantly and everyday.  Abram (Abraham) said yes to God's calling, and he stepped out by faith on a spiritual and physical journey that changed the course of history.

How does faith begin?  It's like when a baby takes the first step.  They have faith in you as a parent you will catch them before or when they fall.  This would be called "believing."

God has made us an offer - to forgive our sins and to give us His righteousness as a free gift.  Believing His offer to be sincere, we take the gift by "faith."

Who do we look for "Faith" in?  We look to Jesus.  Believing that He died for our sins.  We take Him as our Redeemer.  Just like when a baby learns to walk!  They look to us a savior to keep them from falling.  Over time the baby learns to walk, then run.  Just like we need to learn first to "walk in faith," before we run.

To be continued>>>>>  God Bless You....
